Very nice design! I modified the ball joint to have a 1/4" 20UNC thread to be compatible with other camera accessories and uploaded it as a print profile. Thx for this usefull print!

Really nice design. I printed several different models and ended up staying with this one. Can I ask you something? Can you make a version that with an extended top screw so we can have our phones on a vertical position? Also, a small suggestion if you want to ever make a v2 of this model, would be to have a way to lock the bottom tripod part, mainly to avoid it loosing up during transportation. Thanks!

Thanks for rating and the feedback! Glad you like the design :) I will look into it, the issue is I think my A1 mini cant print such long parts so I would have issues testing it :) Good idea to lock the bootom part. Did not think about that tbh :)

Printed out without problems and works like it should. But I deduct one star because of the print profile. I printed from Bambu Handy. Every part has a brim which needs a lot of unnecessary part cleaning. In my opinion most parts wouldn't need a brim. But it's a nice model and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for rating and the feedback! I add sometimes these brims as some users don't properly clean their buildplates which then causes a lot of comments on bed adhesion 😅

That looks pretty good. I like the idea of the moving ball. Maybe they should print the bottom part of the phone holder upright, so there are fewer floating parts. I'll print it.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like it. I designed the handle to be printed that way, as when you turn it around it will create floating areas in the hinges which would cause a failed print in the worst case :) I would love to see your result if you print it :)

Hello, no, not the lever, but I have stood up the lower half that clamps the phone. Good luck in the competition 👍🏻

Cool concept and overall a nice flexible tripod design. However, I had repeated issues with the spherical bolt. The first full print failed during the bolt sphere cavity section as the filament built up on top of the support layer, and the nozzle hit the excess material, knocking the print off the bed. On the successful print, I had to pause and manually scrape excess filament, which slightly affected tolerances but prevented failure. This is due to flow rate settings on my printer. The biggest problem for me is the bolt strength. The threaded section consistently breaks where it meets the main body of the bolt. I tried multiple prints and even a dense 50% infill, but it still failed after some adjustments. Sometimes the broken threaded part stayed stuck inside the mount, which was hard to remove. The idea is great, but this joint seems to be a weak point, at least with PLA and typical print settings. Might work better with tuned flow, different materials, or reinforced design.
