Description

400mm diameter x 6mm thickness drone landing pad for small to medium sized drones.  The drone pictured on the landing pad is a DJI Air 3s.

The inner circle and the ‘H’ are printed facing the build plate.  This allows the pad surface to take on the texture of the build plate.  The landing pad that is pictured was printed on a textured build plate.  However, I recommend that the pins and the clips be printed on a smooth build plate.  The landing pad can be disassembled and the pieces held together with 2 clips.  In this orientation, the 4 pieces will be 24mm thick and easily fit into a backpack.

For assembly, I recommend gluing 4 pins into each quarter of the pad.  This will ensure that the pins will stay with each quarter piece when it is disassembled.  For storage, attach the 4 pieces together with the 2 clips.

Depending on how well your printer handles overhangs, you may need to adjust the thickness of the pins and the clips so that they are not too tight or too loose.  The pins and clips should be adjusted in 0.16mm increments. Try printing 1 pin to test its' fit into the pad.  To adjust the clips, you will need to edit the object.  Each vertical pin in the object can be adjusted.

This model requires an AMS.
