Door stop clip for Electrolux refrigerator (right-hinged)

This custom-made replacement part serves as a retaining or securing mechanism for the door of an Electrolux refrigerator, as frequently installed in caravans of the 2000s. It was specifically designed for refrigerators with a right-hinged door where the original latch or door security is defective or lost.

Material:

  • PETG plastic

Assembly:

  • Screwed into the existing mounting holes on the right-hand refrigerator frame or attached with adhesive pads
  • No drilling necessary when using existing fixtures
  • Compatible with Electrolux RM series (e.g., RM 4200, RM 4360 etc.) – please check dimensions beforehand

Hi Paddy, I specifically reviewed the definition of a hinged door. According to the definition, the indicated hinging direction is the side where the hinges are located when viewed in the closed state. So, I'm standing in front of the closed refrigerator and see the hinges on the right. Right-hand hinge = right-hinged = left-opening. At least, that's my interpretation. Or did I misunderstand something? Kind regards ;-)

🤔 That's how I learned it, see image. Therefore, no criticism on my part, please don't misunderstand. I think it might be confusing for some, the image and description. Greetings from the backcountry 🌞

Thank you, I understand this as criticism – but justified and, more importantly, constructive criticism. However, according to this image, it is correct. Perhaps for better understanding. This clip is attached to the side where the refrigerator door opens and is intended to prevent it from opening during transit. Additionally, the small pin allows the refrigerator to be fixed in a ventilation position when it is not switched on. Therefore, this clip is not located on the hinged side. Greetings from the Ederbergland.

How to mirror in Bambu Studio? To get the part to fit the opposite side of your refrigerator, simply follow these steps: 1. Select the main part on your build plate 2. Right-click the object 3. Go to Mirror in the context menu 4. Select along Y axis i think you have to mirrow only the main part.
