The Blue Whale Sign - Dark Shadows TV Series

This is a replica of The Blue Whale pub sign from the classic gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. This sign is featured in the local tavern in the fictional town of Collinsport, Maine. The Blue Whale became an iconic setting throughout the show's eerie and mysterious storyline.

I created this model as father's day gift, and as small tribute to Dark Shadows with its legacy in horror television. I took a few liberties in terms of general shape of the sign and color; I didn't want to run an image through hueforge, but instead make something more “handcrafted.” I tried to give the surface a rough wood texture, and make it look like it was made of planks. Big thanks to the dark shadows facebook group that has this sign as a banner (I used it as a reference to make the shape, and the text).

Holes on the back are made to fit a standard thumbtack.
