Description
Low Profile Archery Arm Guard V2
After the success of my first 3D Printed Archery Arm Guard, i decided to improve the design based on my own experience using the arm guard and feedback from others using the arm guard.
Improvments Include:
- 15 mm greater length for increased protection
- Elastic holes moved closer to the ends to prevent the guard from getting caught during use
- Variable layer height to improve asethetics
- Central Protection rails combined into a single rail for increased durablility
- Added ramp to the central protection rail to ensure minimal inturuption with the string during string contact
For optimal performance, print using an impact durable material. I found that PETG works excellently. PLA may be too brittle and stiff for an arm guard. The print profile is 100% infill as this has a minimal impact on material usage and print time but offers increased durability.
