Depending on the filament, it’s possible to shoot out the hexagons. The colors in the image are admittedly awful—but leftover material needs to be used somehow.

The hexagons are essentially pre-cut.

I would advise against printing black hexagons; they’re nearly invisible in the finished product once broken out.

With 4.5mm 7.5J airgun pellets (flat-head), it cleanly punched out the hexagons for me. With 5.5mm, it occasionally tears.

However, it heavily depends on the filament! Some PLA adheres more strongly than others.
It worked perfectly with Bambu PLA-CF—though that’s a somewhat more expensive target.
