Description
Welcome back guys!
I have played with the KC016 etc. kits for a while, I really love these tiny LEDs that can be activated with a magnet. I came up with the idea to make a glowing radioactive cartridge, so here it is!
What do you need?
Only thing beside filament ist the KC016 single LED with magnetic switch for about 2 bucks.
Printing
Printing is easy if you just use my print profile. I used 4 colors:
- PLA+ SILK Silver
- black & yellow PLA for the logo
- Glow in the dark PLA for the inlay.
Settings are pretty easy, watch the following:
- arachne wall mode
- 0.12mm layer height for better details
- I personally put all party on one plate and then hit “slice per object”, so I don't wast much filament on the color changes but can print everything at once
- Only tha base is better printed with tree supports because these cylindric overhangs are almost impossible to bridge perfectly.
Assembly
Assembling is easy, just watch my video:
- Put the KC016 glowing LED with the LED up into the base.
- Put the inlay on top.
- Screw on the top part (it has tiny threads)
- pull the handle a bit apart so you can stick its ends into the holes on the top part.
Finished! Have fun, please leave your feedback in the comments.
