UPDATE (2026.01.26)
New Mounting Ring STLs added to “Download STL/CAD Files” with a recess for wall mounting (e.g. an appropriately sized nail/screw) :
30° section - print 12x. Max. scale on 256mm buildplate = ~300%
60° section - print 6x. Max. scale on 256mm buildplate = ~200%
Don't forget to print the same number of retaining pins, at the same scale!
UPDATE (2025.12.06)
STL of a 30° section of Mounting Ring (with dovetail connectors) added to “Download STL/CAD Files”. This will allow you to scale up the model to 250%+ when printing on a 256mm plate (A1/X1/P1 etc.). Print 12 in total for a complete ring. Don't forget to print 12 retaining pins suitably scaled up also.
V2 UPDATE (2025.06.16)
Mounting ring now uses dovetail joints with a retaining pin on the underside.
Dovetails have a 0.1mm tolerance, so should clip together relatively easily. Insert the retaining pin through the hole to hold the dovetail securely in place. You may need to apply a bit of force to push the pin fully through the hole.
The ribs are designed to push-fit into the mounting ring. Starting with rib 0 - you can work either clockwise or anti-clockwise, keeping the ribs orientated so the number on the base is on the inside of the mounting ring - rib 1, rib 2, etc. When you get to rib 9, repeat from rib 0.
*******************
To check the push-fit tolerance, I suggest printing the mounting ring first, and a single rib. If you find it slightly too loose/tight, adjust the Z-height only of all of the ribs by +/- 0.04mm (Precise Z Height is already enabled in the profile). Alternatively, if it's too loose, you could always glue the ribs into place.
