Description

🛠️ COBI 1:300 Ship Wall Mount

Wall mount for all COBI 1:300 ships, consisting of a sturdy wall bracket and a detachable holder for the nameplate.
Designed for durability, with reinforced areas using 3D modifiers to ensure reliable performance when mounted correctly.

The bracket is tailored to fit this wall hook shown in the reference image, but due to generous hole tolerances, it also works with similar hooks.

🧱 Mounting Instructions

1. Marking Drill Holes
Use a spirit level to ensure alignment.
Two U-shaped alignment guides are integrated behind the studs on the bracket – use these to mark the drill hole positions before mounting.

⚠️ Always check for hidden wires or pipes before drilling.

2. Drilling
Drill holes to match the size of your wall plugs (dowels). Keep the drill straight – a second person can help for accuracy.

3. Mounting the Bracket
Snap the bracket onto the ship first, then slide both onto the hooks together.
This prevents stress on the bracket and simplifies mounting.

⚠️ Tips & Common Issues

▪ Ship isn’t hanging level?
→ Add a bit of tissue into the lower bracket opening to offset hole misalignment.

▪ Plaster is chipping while drilling?
→ Stick masking tape over the drill points before drilling – this supports the plaster and prevents chipping.

▪ Ship leans away from the wall?
→ Turn the wall hooks in as far as possible while still allowing the bracket to slide on – this ensures a snug fit.

🧩 Notes

  • Tested on multiple COBI 1:300 ships.
  • Designed with flexibility and tolerance in mind.
  • Feel free to remix for similar ship models.

If you have printed the model, it would really give me great pleasure if you left a review and maybe showed me a picture of your setup, thanks <3
