Imposible Passthrough Chess Knight

Here’s the Passthrough Knight—the most complex one in the set modeled with a twist. Modeled to tournament size, it captures the classic look of the chess knight while  free spinning passthrough fidget. That will pass through right off the bead with only support removal necessary

Designing the knight meant balancing style with structure. Most of the other passthrough chess knights do not look like a knight; this is one of the only ones that does. This took so long to model and test and then remodel, that it is the hardest modeling task I have ever done. This model needed to be so it could fit right in with the rest of the passthrough chess set.

This set of models took about 100 hours of testing troubleshooting and modeling as well as around 40$ of filament to make, a boost to show support would always be appreciated. 

This model is not a sphere so if you do not insert the two parts together correctly then it will not line up. I have included a way to line it up perfectly every time. If you look there is a small grove at the top of the inside piece,     

 and a small grove at the bottom of the outside piece.

 If you line those up you can get it perfectly every time. Or you can ignore those and see if you can figure out how to line it up by yourself.

Recommended Support Settings:

• Type: Tree (auto)
• Remove small overhangs: On
• Support critical regions only: On
• On build plate only: On
• Top Z distance: 0.14–0.15 mm
  
   

These settings help the passthrough fidget spin cleanly right off the bed, with minimal support marks and no extra work needed.
