This fidget spinner is inspired by the waves of the ocean. The Wave gyro fidget spinner came to life after talking to my friend about the concept of gyroscopic precession. I decided to incorporate a gyro into a fidget spinner. It turned out super cool and actually would make a great instructional aid I feel for physics teachers to be able to visualize some of the gyroscopic forces at play.

Note: Some filaments have different friction than others. If you find your spinner doesn't spin very good, take some of the lubricating oil that you use to lube your printer during regular maintenance and lubricate the “rails” inside the spinner.

I printed this but cannot rate it for some reason. when I try I get an error about "not being able to find a resource". the makerworld page that was open on my pc is gone. i thought you pulled the model. then I see it on the 30 day trending on the android app and now I am super confused. this profile is excellent. everything printed perfectly. no stiffness at all. awesome work op. cant rate but I am boosting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So I did pull the model because there was a problem with how it was ranking. It was ranking high in the 7 day trending and then disappeared from all trending pages. Bambu said they hadn’t and can not change that so it must have been a glitch of some sort so I pulled it and reuploaded. Thank you so much for your boost! Sorry you couldn’t get your rating points.

This is one of the coolest prints I've ever done! Super eye-catching and it works perfectly! I've already had to print multiple for my kids who each needed their own. Played around with sizing to make some at 75% that work perfect for my littles.

Thank you for the model! I noticed that when I tried scaling it down for my younger daughter, it changed the 2 color design so that it only did the 2 color on the part touching the plate, but the top was a solid color. Any idea what I may have inadvertently changed?

That’s very strange, I am not sure what would cause it to do that. I’ll play around on Bambu studio and see. Maybe I should make smaller profiles for my spinners for smaller hands.

The kind that comes with your printer. Not the thick greasy stuff but the thin lubricating oil. It helps to make them spin much better. Apply it to the “rails” the the bearing rollers sit on each side and give it a couple of good spins.

Wanted to give 4 stars, but because it thinks the print failed it only let me give 3 stars max. Only downpoint I had was the small bearing wheels get stuck on each other when turning the fidget. I have seen these spinners with small gear wheels that keeps space between each small wheel. But other than that it is a great disign that looks very good.

Did you add some oil, in the description I recommend adding some drops of oil. To get the best spin it really needs that.
