Ganesha Seated in Royal Ease - Maharajalilasana

Description
Description:
This is a print-optimized remix of a Ganesha statue from the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum in Pune, India, originally digitized by Scan the World. The sculpture depicts Ganesha in Maharajalilasana (the royal ease posture), seated with both feet resting on a pillow. One hand is raised in the abhaya mudra, symbolizing protection and reassurance, while the others hold traditional objects of significance.
The original artifact appears to have been carved from ivory or bone, materials historically used in devotional Indian sculpture for their smooth finish and fine detail. The soft facial features, coiled headdress, and stylized ornaments reflect a regional folk aesthetic often associated with portable or shrine-sized icons.
For this remix, I imported the stl file into Bambu Studio, scaled and oriented it to print cleanly on A1, X1, and P1 printers with minimal supports. This made for an easy and accurate print, ideal for both display and use in spiritual spaces.
My print was made using eSUN Bone White PLA+, with print settings based on the filament profile provided by eSUN’s website.
