Gothic Lantern Light w/ PETG Glass Decoration

For a long time I have wanted to start messing with (real) stained glass windows. But with more and more transparent PETG and PLA being released, I thought it would be interesting to start there. While this lantern may not seem like a natural stop towards stained glass, I built it so that I swap out the “glass” panes for testing (while still having something cool). 

It is all printed in PETG, and I designed it to print in 3 parts. These parts are connected with included rectangular pieces, I also used a little glue and pressure to get a tighter fit. Printing it does require some support, the tree style worked for me. I also printed it in black PETG and then gave it a light spray with some metallic spray paint to get a better looking finish. 

For the light source I used these solar powered lights off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHWSFKY7 (I paid $14 for 4 of them), it probably wouldn't hurt to find something more powerful though. I imagine hanging this with some light chains, but haven't done that myself.

I am also including a print profile for the “glass panes”, the first set should just be simple but I hope to provide more interesting variation as well. Getting a glass like PETG transparent print is a work in progress, I am currently using a print profile for printing transparent PETG with mixed results (I include it in that print profile), happy to learn if someone has found something better.
