Description

The ocarina is a traditional wind musical instrument, often crafted from ceramic, wood, or plastic, and is recognized for its unique, flute-like sound and compact, rounded shape. With origins tracing back thousands of years to various cultures around the world, the ocarina remains popular today for its ease of play and melodic, haunting tones. 3D-printing an ocarina offers a modern approach to creating this ancient instrument, allowing for personalized designs and quick prototyping.

This ocarina model is a remix of the original design by by RobSoundtrack ([link]). In this version, I made several modifications to improve both aesthetics and functionality. First, I adjusted the size and placement of the finger holes to achieve more accurate tuning and easier finger access. I also refined the mouthpiece for more comfortable playing and better airflow. Additionally, I thickened certain wall sections to enhance durability and prevent breakage during use or post-processing. The surface has been smoothed and optimized for 3D printing with minimal supports, making it more accessible for desktop FDM printers. These changes result in a more playable and beginner-friendly ocarina while maintaining the core shape and spirit of the original model.

Please remove the support at the blowhole after printing!
