Description

Royal Crest

An Emblem of Courage, Wisdom, and Power

I finally got the Switch 2 and really wanted to have a cover, since the standard one is a bit plain. My Zelda controller from the first Switch inspired this cover 😬 I hope you like it too, and I’d appreciate any reviews! - Please let me know if you notice any errors or anything similar — so far, this was mainly a test print that I’ve also adjusted a bit (I moved the logo slightly higher). AMS wouldn’t really be necessary if you want to swap or paint it by hand, but it wouldn’t hurt either. ;)

Update: 28.07.2025 🛠️

· Added a new 2 mm plate version – it uses less material and prints significantly faster. This will be the standard for future designs.

· Included a print plate for users without AMS – color swap works via layer change, no multi-material setup needed

· The original 3 mm plate remains available for now, but won’t be continued in future releases

Old Updates:

Update: 22.06.2025: The golden filament finally arrived, so I was able to print the design in gold at last!

I’ve also made some adjustments to the switch cover design  I noticed that a small piece was missing from the wing, so I’ve corrected that. The design now also features a contour to better separate it from the circles and improve visual clarity.

In addition, the overall shape is now more symmetrical and closer to the original concept than the previous version.

I’ll be uploading this as an additional print profile alongside the older version – also including the LED cutout.

In the new version, the circles now have a color as well. You can either print them in a contrasting color, as shown in the preview image, or in the same color as the base plate for a more subtle look.

Update 10.06.2025: Added a LED version as an extra print profile!
