Hello Makers :)
I've designed an extension for the Dyson Pure Cool air purifier fans. This allows your Dyson to now also humidify the air, which helps cooling the air, especially in the summer when temperatures are high.
The extension is easily inserted or removed within seconds. No additional fastening is necessary.
The whole thing is powered by USB-C and is operated via two buttons on the back. One is for ON/OFF and the other for the atomizer strength.
I designed this for my TP02, but it should also work for the TP00 and TP01.
Material costs are only about 12 euros.
Material List:
Print Settings:
- 5 Perimeters
- 100% Infill
- Flow to 1.04
- Organic Supports on build plate only
Instructions:
You should probably do a flow test before printing. You should print with 100% infill to make the body watertight. To do this, you should also raise the temperature slightly and increase the flow slightly. Don't print too quickly.
After printing, you should definitely test whether it's watertight. If not, you can try sealing the leak with a soldering iron or gluing it. There are also special sealant sprays, but that shouldn't be necessary if you print it well. :) It's best to use my preconfigured 3MF files for this.

Rework the printed parts. The threads should run smoothly. Now insert the foam rods. Leave about 1 cm of them sticking out at the top. Thread the atomizer cable through the hole provided. Now you can push the atomizer in. Make sure it's aligned correctly and sits flush at the bottom. Now screw in the outlet caps. When screwing them in, be careful not to twist the atomizer too much, which could damage the cables. The outlets are screwed on tightly.

Now for the electronics:
Solder the parts together as shown in the picture.
Test the function with hot glue before gluing them in. To do this, fill the tank with water and wait a moment for the foam rods to absorb the water.
If an atomizer isn't producing enough vapor, this is because the foam rod isn't sitting properly.
That's it :) Already done!
