Description

远古冰层封印着试心石

Primeval ice seals the Heart-Testing Stone

在黑暗里

Beneath time's opaque veil

与星空交换着

It holds communion with the stellar vault

秘而不宣的呼吸

Exhaling sighs spun from the dark's loom

This is a mechanical heart sealed in the ice, waiting to awaken, and calling you.

I’ve created a special integrated flexible mechanism to simulate the cardiac pacing, which is extremely simple and elegant, with a motion almost comparable to that of a multi-link mechanism with an 8-11 rotating hinge. And it also comes with an additional rebound effect.

Due to the uncertainty of the flexible mechanism's motion path,  as well as the need to comprehensively consider the shape, press force, rebound force, strength, and load, I repeatedly iterated and optimized several versions to get the final result. This process was difficult.

I was pleased with the simplicity and effectiveness of the final version, which has only 3 sets of parts: heart, heart bracket, and ice box. Installation is also accomplished in just two steps.

·Overall dimensions: H170*W114*T40 mm

·Heart and heart bracket materials: Bambu PLA Sparkle (Red)

·Ice box material: Bambu PETG Translucent (Clear)

Now, it's up to you to make and awaken the mechanical heart that is yours!

NOTE

It is recommended to use PETG or high toughness PLA for heart bracket printing. The tougher the material the longer the mechanical life for flexible mechanisms. Of course, regular PLA is fine, but the heart life may be slightly shorter.
