Mini Basket Box – Gioco Tascabile Ispirato agli Anni '90

Negli anni '90, quando andavo a scuola, due cose non mancavano mai nel mio zaino: i gusci di Mighty Max, con i loro mondi in miniatura, e le mitiche Strapenne, quelle penne-gioco che racchiudevano piccoli passatempi tascabili. Una delle mie preferite? Quella del basket.

Con questo progetto ho deciso di fondere quelle due icone dell'infanzia in un'unica creazione stampabile in 3D: Mini Basket Box, un guscio portatile stile Mighty Max che, una volta aperto, rivela un piccolo campo da basket giocabile con una mini palla e una catapulta a molla.

Perfetto da portare ovunque, questo gioco tascabile unisce nostalgia e creatività, offrendo un'esperienza interattiva e divertente per grandi e piccoli. Può essere stampato in PLA, assemblato facilmente, ed è completamente personalizzabile nei colori e nei dettagli.

🛠️ Assemblaggio

Il progetto è composto da più parti stampabili separatamente. Per l’assemblaggio delle cerniere e dei meccanismi mobili, è necessario un filo metallico da 1.5 mm di diametro da usare come perni. Io ho utilizzato acciaio armonico, resistente e facile da inserire, ma è possibile usare anche altri materiali metallici con caratteristiche simili.

Mini Basket Box – Pocket-Sized Game Inspired by the '90s

Back in the 1990s, when I was in school, there were two things I always carried in my backpack: Mighty Max shells, with their miniature worlds, and the legendary Strapenne — those pen-games that contained tiny pocket-sized pastimes. One of my favorites? The basketball one.

With this project, I decided to merge those two childhood icons into a single 3D-printable creation: Mini Basket Box, a portable shell in the style of Mighty Max that, once opened, reveals a tiny basketball court playable with a mini ball and a spring-loaded catapult.

Perfect to take anywhere, this pocket-sized game blends nostalgia and creativity, offering an interactive and fun experience for both kids and adults. It can be printed in PLA, is easy to assemble, and fully customizable in both colors and details.

🛠️ Assembly

The project consists of multiple parts that can be printed separately. For assembling the hinges and moving mechanisms, you’ll need a 1.5 mm diameter metal wire to use as pins. I used music wire (spring steel), which is durable and easy to insert, but other metallic materials with similar characteristics can also be used.
