🕋 Tasbih – Prayer Beads Inspired by the Kaaba

------

Update:

An additional print profile (V2) has been included. In this version, the yellow rings no longer protrude, which previously sometimes led to the ring beginning to slip downwards during printing. This results in a significantly cleaner appearance of the beads. Additionally, a cube-shaped end piece has been added, further evoking the shape of the Kaaba.

The position of the conical head piece and the cube-shaped end piece can be secured with filament. The “holes” have a precise diameter of 2 mm. The press fit ensures they remain in the desired position. Alternatively, a piece of filament can protrude from the conical head piece, allowing the cube-shaped end piece to be optionally fixed to it as well.

In anticipation of the upcoming Eid al-Adha, this distinctive model is offered: an elegant Tasbih (prayer beads), inspired by the colors and symbolism of the Kaaba. Whether as a small gift for children, a memento for Hajj pilgrims, or a spiritual decorative object – this model harmoniously unites faith and design.

Product Details

  • Design:
The beads are rendered in classic black with gold accents – reminiscent of the Kaaba's ornamentation. The form is clean and functional, with rounded surfaces and flattened ends.
  • Components:
    • 33 Main Beads: Continuous prayer beads
    • 1 Head Piece: Transitional piece with a conical shape
    • 1 End Bead: An additional (34th) bead, which can be optionally inserted above the head – as a decorative finish
    • All elements are strung onto a cord or flexible band
  • Dimensions:
    • Beads: Diameter approx. 12 mm, height approx. 10 mm (flat on both sides)
    • Head Piece: Ergonomically shaped for comfortable handling
    • Total Length: Depends on the band material, flexibly adjustable

Applications

  • As prayer beads for Zikr
  • As a symbolic gift for Eid, Hajj, or Umrah
  • For children as an introduction to spiritual rituals
  • As a personal keepsake with religious significance

Printing Information

  • Multi-color Printing: Optimized for AMS or comparable multi-material systems – the color accents appear particularly high-quality with two-color printing
  • Recommended Material: PLA for strength and tactile appeal
  • Support-free Printing: All parts are printable without supports. The head piece is only printed with a brim for better adhesion to the print bed, which can be easily removed.
  • Print Time: Individually scalable depending on the number of beads

Can you tell me exactly where the problem is? Where you need support for which part? I printed multiple times without problems. Maybe you can take a picture of the problem! Thanks for feedback!

some of the bead are removing from the hot bed during the print. Do you have any recommendation?

I suspect this is because the print model is oriented for CoreXY printers. The A1 or A1 mini might have adhesion issues. Have you tried printing with such a printer? For the A1 or A1 mini, I can create a print model with additional brims

Pure catastrophe already tried printing 3 times each time around halfway everything breaks the beads come loose and chaos ensues. So unfortunate but not a good print

Hi, I am very sorry that you had this bad experience. The model is actually very easy to print, as you should be able to see in the other comments. The problem is likely your print bed adhesion: Especially if you don't have a Core-XY printer, meaning if your print bed is still pushed back and forth, like with the Bambu Lab A1, print bed adhesion might be even more important. I recommend cleaning your print plate thoroughly with isopropanol, or even replacing it at some point. Alternatively, you could also print additional brims for the spheres, but this would make the result a bit less clean at the edges, which is why I would rather avoid it. A clean print plate should solve the problem

Greetings, a brim is not requisite for the printing process. I have yet to hear of any adhesion difficulties across a multitude of prints. Perchance, a thorough cleaning of your print surface would be beneficial. Which specific print bed are you currently employing
