This is a complete redesigned and improved version of my first Sewing Meter Winder.
There is also an Onshape document with parameters available.
Improvements of V2
- Better lid: Better locking mechanism, more solid hinge.
Tape measure stop: When winding the tape measure the end of it will stay outside. Also makes pulling the tape measure smoother.
- Nicer look: Added fillets and chamfers to make it feel and look nicer
Printing
The premade STLs have a clearance of 0.2mm on rotating parts. If you want to change this use the parametric model.
Sizes inside print profile:
Tape measure end cap thickness: 1.5, 1.7, 1.9, 2.1, 2.3mm
Tape measure width: 19, 21, 23, 25mm
After printing
The hinge and rotator might require a bit of force to move the first time.
