đ˛ Rough Forest Scatter Terrain â Fuzzy Skin Test Set
Hey everyone,
Hereâs a rough forest scatter terrain set I put together while experimenting with organic shapes and surface textures.
The goal here was to test how well the fuzzy skin texture could simulate natural surfaces, and to see how Sunlu wood PLA would perform for more rustic, earthy prints.
đł The trees were created in SolidWorks using the Loft Extrusion tool to taper out the trunk and shape the silhouette.
đż For the bushes, I used a few Revolve Extrusions, then duplicated and layered them together in Bambu Studio to create a bushy, treetop-like structure. That saidâI donât recommend this approach for final models. The resulting internal geometry is messy and makes the model difficult (or impossible) to export as a clean STL.
Despite that, I was pleasantly surprised with how well the fuzzy skin finish brought out the organic character of the models. If youâre in need of some quick-and-dirty forest scatter terrain, this gets the job done!
Enjoyâand let me know if you end up printing your own version!
Edit: Made up some new terrain for forests here:Â
