Wall Go! (2-4 player Board Game) - The Devils Plan
Print Profile(2)

Description
Wall Go – Board Game (inspired by The Devil’s Plan S2)
I loved the “Wall Go” rounds in The Devil’s Plan Season 2 so much that I had to make my own set. After a few late-night CAD sessions and some test prints, here it is…
What you get:
- 7 × 7 board with a tidy rim—wall racks and pawn docks fit right in
- Wall rack and pawn dock - print one per color
- Wall segment – print 25 per player
- Pawn – simple but pleasant haptic
- Clip-on lid coming soon – follow the model to get the update
- Rules can be found down below (i'd highly recommend watching the respective part in episode 10 to understand the rules more easily and in more detail)
Quick tip for getting out the pieces easily:
If you struggle to get out the wall racks and pawn docks, just grab two diagonally opposite pawns and squeeze them against each other like so:

For the wall racks, just grab two walls at the edge and lift up the rack like so:

Introduction
Wall Go is a strategic territory-control board game for 2 to 4 players played on a 7×7 grid board. Players each control a set of pawns and use walls to section off areas of the board. By moving pawns and placing walls, players attempt to enclose territories and isolate their opponents. The goal is to control the largest area of the board by the end of the game, using clever pawn movement and tactical wall placement.
Components
- Game board: 7×7 squares.
- Pawns:
- 2 players: each gets 4 pawns.
- 3–4 players: each gets 2 pawns.
- Each player uses a different color.
- Walls: 25 wall segments, placed on the grid lines between squares.
- Wall Breaker: (3–4 player games only) Each player gets one wall breaker token.
Setup
Determining Turn Order
- Draw lots to decide the first player.
Pawn Placement
3–4 players:
- Players take turns placing one pawn at a time onto any empty square, until all have placed both pawns.
- The second pawn of each player is placed in reverse order (snake draft), so placement order is fair.
2 players:
- Two pawns for each player are pre-set (based on scenario or agreement).
- For example: Player 1 – B2, F6; Player 2 – B2, F2 (if using letter–number notation).
- The remaining two pawns for each player can be placed freely, one after another, as chosen by the players in alternating order.
- Each square may only contain one pawn.
Turn Sequence
Each player takes turns. On your turn, do the following in order:
- Move a Pawn:
- Select any of your pawns.
- Move it 1 or 2 spaces orthogonally (up, down, left, right).
- A pawn may move 1 or 2 spaces on its turn, moving orthogonally (up, down, left, or right) but not diagonally. Pawns move one square at a time, and a pawn that moves 2 spaces may change direction after the first step. (This means you can move around a corner with a two-space move, effectively achieving a diagonal path by two orthogonal steps, or even get back to your original position.)
- You cannot move onto a square already occupied by another pawn.
- You cannot move through a wall that blocks the path.
- Build a Wall:
- After moving, place a wall on any open edge of the square where your pawn ended its move.
- If a wall already exists on that side, you cannot build there.
- Walls are permanent and cannot be moved once placed.
Turn Timer (optional but recommended):
- Each player has 90 seconds for their turn.
- If time runs out, a wall is placed at random for that player.
Special Action: Wall Breaker (3–4 players only)
- Each player may, once per game, remove a wall that directly blocks their pawn’s movement.
- This can only be used to remove a wall that prevents the pawn from moving out of its area.
- Using the wall breaker replaces your wall placement for that turn.
- There are no wall breakers in 2-player games.
End of Game
- The game ends when all pawns are completely isolated in their own walled territories—no pawn can move any further.
- The game also ends even if not all wall breakers were used.
Scoring and Winning
- For each player, count all squares (including empty spaces and pawns) inside the areas where their pawns are located.
- Sum up all such squares for your total score.
- The player with the highest total territory wins.
- Tiebreaker: If scores are equal, the player with the largest single territory wins. If still tied, the game is a draw.
Quick Summary
- Move one pawn up to 2 spaces (orthogonally, not diagonally, and not onto an occupied or blocked square).
- After moving, place a wall on an open edge around your pawn’s final square.
- Walls cannot overlap and are permanent.
- Each player has 90 seconds per turn.
- In 3–4 player games, each player can use a wall breaker once, replacing their wall placement for that turn.
- Game ends when all pawns are isolated. Count the territory for each player; the largest total wins.
