Vulcan IDIC symbol from Star Trek
Print Profile(1)

Description
The Vulcan “IDIC” symbol from Star Trek, the original series, was initially developed by William Ware Theiss for the episode “Is there in no Truth, Beauty?” It was worn onscreen by Leonard Nimoy, the iconic Mister Spock, and stands for the Vulcan philosophy supporting infinite diversity in infinite combinations. It also supported series creator Gene Roddenberry's urge toward merchandising and commercial tie-ins to the show. Reportedly, Nimoy was not particularly delighted to have to show off the pendant.
Nevertheless, the IDIC has remained a desired, if obscure, symbol to Trek (and Vulcan) fans ever since.
This version is modified from an IDIC uploaded to Thingverse by user Grantisimo on March 1, 2023. The original design was a raw STL and set up to lie flat. I've adapted it to 3MF, with some tweaks for layer height and to print just slightly tipped off vertical, dramatically improving the quality of detail on the front surface.
Supports are auto-generated, and can be a bit stiff along the front of the pointed base.
