Like the model? A boost helps a lot. It's free and supports me to keep making more. Thanks
This 2-drawer chest is designed to complement the AMS HT, creating a compact and organised workspace. The AMS sits neatly on top of the unit, keeping your setup tidy while also allowing for convenient storage in the drawers below.
I welcome any feedback or suggestions to help improve future designs.
Assembly Instructions
Assembly is straightforward:
- Press the feet into the designated slots.
- Insert the two drawers.
- The unit is ready for use.
Key Details
- Tolerances – Print tolerances may vary depending on printer and filament choice. The tolerances used here were tested successfully on a Bambu Lab H2D using Bambu Lab filaments. Please note that responsibility cannot be accepted for performance issues caused by variations in print accuracy.
- Placement Advice –
• For stability, the AMS was tested on a separate table from the printer.
• If placing the chest directly on the printer, consider printing the AMS feet in a grippier TPU material to reduce shifting caused by vibration.
• During testing, the unit proved stable, but material choice is important if you plan to use it on top of a printer with a heated chamber, as this may risk warping or melting the unit. - Airflow Considerations – The chest has integrated ventilation to maintain airflow to the AMS HT intake. For best results, avoid overfilling the top drawer, as this could partially block airflow.
- Printer Compatibility –
• Optimised for the Bambu Lab H2D.
• To print on smaller Bambu Lab machines, both the frame and drawers must be split in half to fit within the build volume.
Updates
20/08/2025 – The solid drawer is now the sole option. The earlier cut-out design has been withdrawn, as on rare occasions long, slender objects could become trapped between the drawer and the main frame. This issue is entirely avoided with the solid design.
