This relic is the preserved skull of Eremis Driftcall, the last known Cartomancer of the Azure Maw — a cult that mapped shipwrecks by listening to sonar-like echoes only they could hear. After venturing too deep into the Spiral Reef, Eremis returned with his skull fused with coral, coins, and calcified barnacles. He spoke only in bubbling whispers for three days before dissolving into seawater before his crew’s eyes.
The Tidewrought Remnant pulses faintly when submerged and is known to leave salt residue on the hands of those who hold it too long. Some say the relic is still “listening,” and occasionally hums old sea shanties… in reverse.
