Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like my models, boosting is free and I get to tell my wife people on the internet think I'm cool.

This attachment is a fishing line cutter is designed to mount directly onto your fishing rod for quick and convenient access. It uses standard #11 X-Acto blades, making replacements simple and inexpensive. The cutter is secured using O-rings (see maker's supply link down below for everything you need!), ensuring a snug fit without scratching or marring your rod.

Perfect for freshwater or saltwater anglers, this tool lets you snip your line in seconds without fumbling for scissors or clippers. The low-profile design keeps it out of the way while casting or reeling, and it’s easy to install or remove in the field.

Features:

  • Compatible with standard #11 X-Acto blades (cannot guarantee fit of other brands/blades)
  • Mounts directly to your fishing pole
  • includes a hook-keeper hole in the front
  • O-ring attachment – no tools or adhesives needed
  • No damage to your rod
  • Compact and lightweight
  • Works for mono, fluorocarbon, and braided line

Assembly Notes:
Insert a #11 X-Acto blade into Cutter_housing_side_1 and place cutter_housing_side_2 on top.

Press in the 2x m4 nuts into Cutter_housing_side_2.

Install 2x m4 x 8mm screws and hand tighten. (ensure there no gap between the two sides).

secure the cutter to your rod using appropriately sized O-rings.

Test for tightness before use.

As always, handle blades with caution.

NOTE - due to rods coming in all shapes and sizes, different size o-rings may be required for your specific rod. the 24mm diameter o-rings fit my 0.4" (12mm) diameter rod well and keep the line cutter snug. Try to size accordingly.

UPDATE *******

I thickened up the top section to try to better protect your fingers from the blade!

I also added a line-keep to the front so you can put your hook through it.
