Hi
I often find myself throwing away pencils that are about 4 cm long because they're too small to be used at school! So I thought I needed an extension to recover as much of these pencils as possible.
I searched online and found several projects of this type, but none satisfied me. All the ones I saw didn't have a locking system; the pencil had to be wedged in, and when it got too small it was difficult to remove, especially for children. So I designed this. It's a body with pliers at the tip, tightened by a cap—easy and fun! For purely aesthetic purposes, I wanted to add a fake eraser, but it can be removed during printing.
It's possible to print in various colors—a cute idea, also useful as a little gift!
WARNING: The model is designed for Giotto Superminas, which are slightly larger than classic colored pencils. If you need the model for smaller colored pencils, let me know and I'll publish it!
WARNING AGAIN: The printing profile is set to 0.16. DO NOT CHANGE IT. The thread is very small and delicate; if you print it at 0.2 it won't work!
In the printing profile I also included a second cap, printed in FUZZY mode, to improve grip. You decide whether to print it or not.
The profile is set to print in piece mode, not layer mode; do not change the position of the pieces.
