Mini Pirate Ship in a Bottle – Version 2

Now featuring all four unique stands and full clarity-optimized bottle geometry.

Model Overview

This is Version 2 of my original Mini Pirate Ship in a Bottle—redesigned from the ground up for better print clarity, geometry, and display versatility. The model seals a miniature pirate ship inside a PETG vase-mode bottle using a mid-print pause. No glue, no assembly—just clean slicing, transparency magic, and a perfectly balanced stand.

IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE PRINTING

Print the Mini Pirate Ship FIRST
Use Truitt’s mini Pirate Ship. This bottle was scaled specifically to fit that model.
Print it in PLA with supports, then test-fit it before slicing the bottle.

Bottle has a built-in pause at layer 178
This allows you to drop the ship in tail-first. Wiggle gently—it’s a snug fit by design.
After insertion, resume printing to seal the ship inside the bottle.

Use the included clarity-optimized print profile
Preview your sliced file to ensure the pause is included before starting.

What's New in Version 2:

  • Completely reworked bottle shape for improved symmetry and smoother print flow
  • Subtle geometry adjustments for even clearer results in spiral vase mode
  • Four unique stand options to suit any display style
  • Optional cork and customizable label slots included

Display Stand Options (Print Separately)

You can now choose from four unique stands, each with its own visual style and purpose:

  • Admiral’s Arch – Elegant curved cradle that supports the bottle under its neck with a forward-leaning pose
  • Captain’s Cradle – Minimal side-grip stand that raises the bottle cleanly and evenly
  • Dockyard Base – Flat, stable base with an optional nameplate slot for gift-style or museum-like displays
  • Harbor Cradle – Upright design with squared feet and optional sign insert for a more traditional presence

Each stand is designed to work with Version 2 of the bottle. Mix and match based on your shelf, desk, or presentation preference.
