Description

This is a set of modular-style IO enclosures I designed for my pedalboard. Each part mounts underneath the board and helps cleanly route audio and power connections.

These are partial enclosures — backs are open to make wiring easier and reduce print time. You mount them directly using M3 brass inserts and standard 3mm bolts (8mm length).

📦 Included STL Files (5)

  1. XLR_Dual_Power_Deep.stl

Dual XLR output + IEC (computer-style) power socket

➤ With extended rear section behind power (approx. 58mm depth)

  2. XLR_Dual_Power_Flat.stl

    Same layout as above

➤ No rear extension behind power (flush with XLRs, 26.5 mm depth)

  3. XLR_Dual_Only.stl

Dual XLR out enclosure with no power socket

➤ Great if you already have power handled elsewhere

  4. TRS_Single_Input.stl

Mountable enclosure for a single locking TRS jack (mono or stereo input)

  5. Power_Lid_Rect_Hole.stl

A simple lid (rectangle with center hole) to optionally hot glue on to the deep power enclosure

🛠️ Recommended Print Settings

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm (used for all loops)
  • Infill: 15% is more than enough
  • Supports: Only where needed (under connector cutouts, but I think I printed as-is)
  • Material: PLA or PETG recommended (I used PETG)

🔩 Mounting Info

  • M3 brass inserts are used in the printed mounting holes (heat-set or press-fit)
  • 3mm bolts, 8mm long — used to mount connectors (like XLR/TRS) and fasten enclosures to your pedalboard
  • All necessary holes are pre-designed — just drop in the insert and you’re good to go

🔌 Parts I Used

The XLR and TRS connectors used in this build are the exact ones I personally purchased and installed, all available from Sweetwater. You can find the links below. The power socket was something I had lying around at home, so I’m not sure where to get the exact same one

💡 Notes

  • These are meant to be screwed underneath a pedalboard, not full desktop enclosures
  • The design makes wiring fast and flexible — access everything from the front, no need to close the back
  • Lid is optional and only for the deep power version — you can glue it in or leave it open
