Tractor Magnet Toy

Update 2: Per request added a third version that should fit 8mm with 4mm magnets.

Neat little magnet toy that “locks” a stack of magnets to it and you can push and pull it around.

Designed to just press fit the magnets in.

Needs ten (10) total magnets

Four (4) x 12.6mm diameter x 3.2mm thick

Six (6) x 6.3mm diameter x 3.2mm thick

The thickness isn't terribly important as the printed holder is open on both sides.

Align the magnets as shown in the image. (Outer ring all facing one direction, inner stack upside down).

Note that I'm wearing gloves in the gif because this thing SUCKS when it catches your finger.

I'm pretty sure the magnets I had laying around are actually imperial, not metric, so technically they are ½ inch and ¼ inch diameter.

If you wanted to use the D12x3mm and D6x3mm magnets sold by MakerWorld you should resize the model to about 94 or 95%.

YMMV
