  • tactile switch 12 x 12 x 7.3 mm with cap attachement part x 4: I just bought a set on Amazon. It's important that they have the top part to attach keycaps, usually they are yellow

Description

This is a simple wired remote for ESP Home that fits a ESP 8266 D1 Mini.

It allows control of anything with 4 pyhsical buttons in your Home assistant with ESPHome.

I included unmarked keycaps and the dice design that I use myself.

It needs a micro USB power supply as I did not design a battery in, so its more a switch that you can place anywhere than a real remote.

The buttons are held in place by the bridges called “steg”.

You need to wire all the buttons to ground and then to the GPIO pins you want to use as shown in the pictures. Don't use D0.

route the wires so everything sits flush as shown in the pictures.
