Description

Self-Watering Garden Well – Stylish & Practical

This self-watering garden well is a decorative and efficient solution for slow-drip irrigation. With just three 3D printed parts, it’s easy to assemble, functional, and eye-catching.

Key Features:

  • 3D printable in 3 parts: Base well, funnel, and roof.
  • Quick, tool-free assembly.
  • Tapered bottom: Ensures a secure fit when the well is pressed into the funnel.
  • Funnel options: Comes in two lengths – 60mm (standard) and 90mm (extended), with 50mm and 80mm spike sections for soil insertion.
  • Controlled watering: A 1mm hole at the funnel tip delivers water drop by drop.
  • Decorative design: The stone-textured well and charming roof make it a standout garden feature.
  • Snap-on roof: Easily attaches to the top of the well using two small pegs.

Step-by-Step Assembly Guide

  1. Print the Three Parts:
    • The well base with a tapered bottom.
    • The funnel (choose between 60mm and 90mm versions).
    • The decorative roof with two pegs for attachment.
  2. Connect the Well and Funnel:
    • Insert the tapered bottom of the well into the funnel opening.
    • Squeeze them together—thanks to the conical shape, they will hold tightly.
  3. Attach the Roof:
    • Align the pegs on the roof with the holes on top of the well structure.
    • Press gently until the roof clicks into place.
  4. Place into Soil:
    • Push the pointed end of the funnel into the ground near the plant.
    • Make sure it’s stable and upright.
  5. Add Water:
    • Fill the well with water.
    • The 1mm hole at the funnel’s end will slowly release the water, keeping your plant hydrated over time.
    • This decorative well is perfect even for bonsai care, providing a gentle and consistent water supply. It also makes a charming addition to any plant pot, from herbs to flowers.

The model is optimized for easy 3D printing using standard settings with a 0.2 mm layer height. No supports are needed for the funnel. However, tree supports are recommended for the roof due to the overhangs. For the best surface finish, enabling ironing for top layers, adaptive layer height, and thin wall detection is  recommended.
