Fully Parametric Dovetail Sliding Lid Box

Fully parametric box with sliding dovetail lid. 

The included stls and slicer file is for a 100 x 60 x 30 mm box with 2 mm walls and 2mm corner radius. 

To modify, simply download the f3d file under “Download STL/CAD Files” and open it in fusion 360. Then click modify > change parameters and select whatever values you want. 

Keep in mind length, width, and height are based on the external dimensions so please add twice the chosen wall thickness if you are basing your size off internal measurement. For example 100mm internal length with 2mm walls becomes (100 + (2*2)) = 104mm. 

I recommend only changing the length, width, height, wall thickness, and corner radius parameters. The other parameters can be left as is. dovetail_offset is the clearance between both sides of the dovetail and might need to be changed if you make a very large or small box or use very large wall thickness. 

2mm wall thickness with standard print settings is what I recommend for most uses as its pretty strong and doesn't need too much material. If you dont need a lot of strength you can reduce the number of walls and top/ bottom layers in the slicer. 

Print the box upright and the lid upside down. No supports or brim needed.
