May 30 Update: Updated to v3, interface adjusted to 2.8mm (original version was 2.82mm—note the difference in the first print profile); chamfers added to the interface for increased strength

Note: This is a monolithic, non-articulating print; an adjustable version is also available Link:

Exquisite 1:200/1:400 Scale Plane Model Stand - Monolithic 3D Printed Version with Fixed Angle

Exquisite 1:200/1:400 Scale Plane Model Stands - Monolithic 3D Printed Version with Fixed Angle

Notice/Notice:

Compatible with 2.5mm–2.9mm circular hole model interfaces, such as 1/200NG and 1/200 JC models If the interface is slightly oversized, it can be gently sanded; if undersized, the linked part can be 3D printed

If you are designing an aircraft model and wish to use this stand, simply pre-drill a 2.8mm circular hole in the underside of the fuselage

Future updates will include additional model interface sizes and scales, expanded base designs, reserved space for plaque installation, and support for customized plaque designs

Many 1:200 and 1:400 scale precision metal aircraft models lack stands, and those that do often lack aesthetic appeal; current 3D model stands are quite rudimentary, so I spent a day designing this one and am sharing it openly for everyone to enjoy

  1. Monolithic 3D Printed Version - Fixed Angle Monolithic 3D Printed Version - Fixed Angle

Print directly; no supports required I used PETG-CF, but other PETG and PLA materials should also print well

This monolithic version features a 2.8mm circular interface, suitable for 2.7mm and 2.8mm NG brand 1:200 models and some 2.6mm JC brand 1:200 models

Advantages: convenient printing, suitable for printing multiple stands simultaneously; no assembly, supports, or fasteners required

Disadvantages: non-adjustable aircraft pitch angle; less detail than the modular version; minor warping in some overhanging areas (see the last two photos for a comparison of the two versions)

Supports have been added to this version; consider using the 3D printed screws and nuts included in the design, or purchasing metal ones

The 3D printed screws and nuts are not threaded; the screw diameter is 3.9mm (0.1mm less than the 4mm hole) for easier assembly, but it might still be difficult; test fit each pair of holes before attaching to the base; 502 adhesive can be used for additional security. An extra screw and nut are included in the print file.

    Recommended Metal Fastener Dimensions:

    Screws: 3 * M4*22, 1 * M4*18; alternatively, use 3 * M4*20/25, 1 * M4*16/20

    Nuts: 4 * M4
