it produces a dynamic sound even with small 3 or 5-inch full-range speakers without a crossover this type of tuning is known for its characteristic decay curve which is much smoother deeper and more dynamic than common bass reflex systems this loudspeaker is an unconventional design but can rival expensive loudspeakers the hole for the 3-inch model is 94mm designed for a full range added vers v3 which allows adding a path and with scaling allows parameterization of the project behind the woofer I added a perforated panel that needs to be filled with damping material this is a Helmholtz resonator that dries up resonance modes
the speaker has a 60Hz tuning by scaling it and using larger woofers the frequency decreases according to the scaling factor because the duct length increases
