Mesh Cap for 50mm Hole

This is a mesh cap designed for a 50mm diameter aperture in a glass enclosure, terrarium, or formicarium

This cap can be employed in formicaria, terraria, and vivaria, effectively preventing the escape of even minute creatures such as ants, springtails, and numerous other species, while concurrently facilitating essential air circulation and subsequent dehumidification

Optionally, a fan may be positioned above it to expedite air circulation

• Version 1 (PLA):
  • A maximum aperture of 0.25 mm is guaranteed, ensuring that creatures exceeding this dimension cannot egress
  • This version is primarily conceived for horizontal deployment, as its generous tolerance could lead to dislodgement if utilized in a lateral aperture. Should such an application be desired, kindly submit a prompt comment, and I shall, without charge and in short order, reduce the tolerance by modifying the original file

• Version 2 (PLA/transparent PETG):
  • Grid irregularities have been rectified; however, the maximum aperture has consequently been expanded to 0.335mm
  • Also engineered for horizontal application, featuring an adjusted tolerance

My design drew inspiration from numerous ant retailers, such as Antstore, who market these caps for upwards of €5 apiece. Nevertheless, I can affirm that I meticulously handcrafted this model entirely, an undertaking that proved exceptionally arduous
