What happens when a Maker with dexterity challenges, a trusty vernier caliper, and a strong desire to keep filament dry (yes, especially you, TPU!) come together? You get the Polydryer More Desiccant Containers (MDC) Mod!
The MDC Mod is designed to extend the moisture-free lifespan of spools stored in Polydryer containers by adding a set of modular desiccant containers. It’s an easy and expandable upgrade for serious filament care.
Each container includes a dedicated funnel, making filling and refilling quick and easy.
There is even a tube-style container that doubles as a replacement for the stock rod used to suspend filament spools! Function and desiccation, all in one! Printed in PETG it was tested under an 8-hour drying cycle at the highest Polydryer setting with a full spool and showed no signs of deformation.
Print the full set or just the containers you need. Modularity is the name of the game!
Note:
- For best results, print all containers in PETG, especially the tube container. It was tested under an 8-hour drying cycle at the highest Polydryer setting with a full spool and showed no signs of deformation.
- Optimized for desiccant beads up to 5mm in diameter.
Clearance was tested with various spools placed on the bearings. The containers should not interfere with spool rotation or placement.
