Other Issues:this is actually pretty good model. im giving 1 star cuz maker present it wrong way. this item should be mirrored - bottom "feet/hook" should go to the back not in front, i almost destroyed z axis when homing really high doing full calibration. this "feet" prevents x axis rail to go all the way up, but if you mirror it all is good, there is nothing in the way, so 2 profiles are wrongly described also. right side should be left side and left side - right. ill change star to 5 when fixed. thanks

I printed it vertically to avoid layer issues. The design seems ok for now but I wish there was more instructions by OP on how to slide the holder into place without having to force it, or how the Bambu holder can be disassembled to switch side so that this holder doesn't have to be secured with a zip tie.

it's meant for the right side of the printer

No, it's actually completely switcheable from right to left. The tie wrap is not needed, I just put it because I didn't know how to do the side switch yet.

How did you manage to swap the orientation. I tried undoing the screws at the back but it didn't want to come apart and i didn't want to force it. Thanks

mine also broke at that point and RIP my spool holder :/ description should say this is not for PLA, because it's not. or printing vertically is maybe another solution.

Printed well, I like the support placement. It fires a little loose on my A1, and can fall off if I’m not careful pulling the spoil off. It would benefit from a compliant latch on the backside to prevent that. Great idea though! I’m gonna enjoy having my external spool back for TPU. It’s a pain to switch the AMS on/off, this will save that headache.

I agree about the latch to make it more secure.

To use the External Spool .. are you pulling PTFE out and putting the ne for the external in?

When I print with TPU filament, the recommendation is not to use the PTFE tube, so our colleague probably doesn't change the tube

I was pleased to see you've been able to use this with the AMS Lite Enclosure (as I'd also like to do this)

@Hoju you have the spool mounted the wrong way, you shouldnt need zipties

This setup is how I had it crash down on me. If you're going to set it up like that with the spool holder out in front, use the regular, not left mounted one (you can still put it on the left side). The way the clip is built counters the weight of the spool hanging off the other side. Flip your spool holder the other way with that print and you won't need the zip ties.

The left setup is impossible to use as you mentioned. Because the extra spool hits the AMS spools. The only way is to mount it out in front, but in this case, your clip needs to be inverted.

@HoLiTio What legs do you have to rest the printer on? are they reducing the vibration? Is it possible to share a stl or something?

These are the one i using. It does help to reduce some vibration if not all. https://makerworld.com/en/models/129661?from=search#profileId-187047

Did you not print the back brace for the top mount?

I was wondering how I was going to print TPU with my A1, since it doesn't work well with the AMS Lite, and with this adapter I can run my TPU without having to swap anything out.
