This is an improved version based on the LYNX structure, with the following key specifications:

  1. Main body length (excluding inner barrel): 567mm, height 188mm,

  2. Inner barrel uses 500mm (short burst) 700mm (sniper rifle);

  3. Features an adjustable shoulder stock, cheek rest (still under development);

Enhancements:

  • Integrated side and pull-down mechanisms, functioning as both a bolt-action sniper and a short-burst weapon,

  • Increased stroke; within a 35mm inner diameter cylinder, the piston stroke surpasses 100mm, reaching 117mm (design target 120mm) A damping foam pad was added, slightly reducing the stroke. With such a large stroke, a 1.8*25*165 spring (from Black Wheel) is suitable (or a standard spring of 150mm). Extreme compression is achieved, as shown below

  • Improved main body assembly structure, employing numerous pins. Those familiar with the Short Cat will recognize the issue of large gaps and excessive frame torsion after assembly. This enhancement uses pins for precise positioning.

  • Eliminated the aluminum plate structure; the main body utilizes a threaded rod locking method for overall assembly, employing four standard screws

  • Eliminated the aluminum plate feed mechanism; an M3 threaded rod is used This method, while excellent, presents slightly more complex maintenance for the quick-release front end A video tutorial will be released later for guidance.

  • Replaced aluminum plates and bearings as the slider's moving carrier with linear rails. Initial procurement offers cost-effectiveness, and the aluminum plates between sliders are also 3D-printed; I've found them sufficiently strong, but aluminum replacements are readily available if needed.

    That's about it for the overview. Subsequent cosmetic components will be available in sniper rifle, short-burst, and Type 95 variants for your crafting pleasure. Thank you again!
