Boost Me (for free)

Every boost helps motivate me to keep restoring and importing more great works of art into MakerWorld. Thanks for supporting this ongoing project!

This model is based on a scan of A Seated Girl, a Roman Hadrianic copy of a Hellenistic original sculpture dating to around 280–270 BCE. The original is attributed to Tyche of Antioch and believed to have been recreated by Eutychides, a student of Lysippus. The piece is known for its calm posture and subtle drapery, capturing a moment of quiet reflection. The scan was provided through Scan the World, a community-led initiative to preserve and share cultural heritage through open-source 3D printing.

I imported the .stl file into Bambu Studio and repaired mesh geometry. I leveled the underside of the model to improve bed adhesion, ensuring better first-layer stability on flat beds. The model was also re-oriented for efficient slicing, and support structures were customized to protect delicate elements like the bench legs and foot while minimizing cleanup. I maximized the model’s scale for A1, P1, and X1 printers, adjusting it to make the most of build volume without compromising proportions or risking overhang failures. Infill and wall settings were optimized for print strength and overall print quality.

Printed in Elegoo Marble PLA using the Generic High-Speed PLA profile. After printing, I used a file and fine-grit sandpaper to smooth out areas where supports were removed.

Note: Tall prints can lose adhesion in the final moments. Please wash your build plate prior to printing. Or consider scaling down 10%. I've also had really good luck using BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite build plates.
