Description

This is my remix of Theledman's very useful model from Thingiverse. I used their model as-is for about a year, then decided to make a couple of quality-of-life updates to the model.

I modified the model as follows:
1. Added an inverse center cone to the Base, similar to the official single-dose hopper from Baratza

2. Decreased the height of the Bellows
3. Increased the height of the Cap, allowing it to be used for weighing beans. Holds approximately 60-70g of beans, depending on roast level; though the fuller it gets the harder it is to pour beans into the base/bellows cleanly

Notes:

  • I would definitely recommend printing the base with a support filament for the support interface layers

(ie: Support for PLA/PETG, or use PETG as support interface for PLA or vice versa)

  • If you don't use a support filament for the support interface layers, you'll want to be very careful when removing supports from the base, due to the thin arms that hold the inverse cone in the center
  • I configured the profile settings for the bellows to minimize stringing; but it's TPU, so there will probably still be a little bit of stringing to be removed from the finished print
  • I'm currently using TPU-90A, which seems like it's going to last a lot longer for the Bellows than my previous prints using TPU-95A. TPU-95A will still work, but it's stiffer so the bellows may need to be replaced more frequently
  • I colored in the grind size setting arrow with a silver sharpie; you could print multicolor with a different filament, but the silver sharpie does a great job with only one application needed

If you dig my remix, please post a pic of your finished print. It's fun to see other makes!
