Description

🐙 Floating Octopus – Eppendorf Tube Holder for Water Baths

Keep your samples upright, stable, and above waterline hassle.

Water baths are essential for warming biological samples—but standard tube racks often sink too low, and tubes can float, tip, or get lost in the bath. That’s why I designed this Floating Octopus, a 3D-printed, buoyant Eppendorf tube holder perfect for labs needing a reliable and reusable floating rack.

This fun but functional octopus design securely holds up to 8 microcentrifuge tubes, keeping them upright and evenly spaced while floating on the water surface. It's especially useful when:

  • Your rack is too short to keep tubes out of the water
  • You want even heat distribution without full submersion
  • You’re handling multiple samples at once

Whether you're thawing reagents, incubating samples, or doing quick enzyme reactions in a 37°C bath, this floating tube holder will keep everything right where you want it—no more soggy labels, tipped tubes, or lost caps.
