Talos from Jason and the Argonauts
Print Profile(1)

Description
This print is a copy of a preservation casting of Talos created by Ray Harryhausen from Don Chaffey's fantasy adventure Jason and the Argonauts. Talos was a huge bronze statue on the Isle of Bronze that came alive and attacked the Argonauts after Hercules (Nigel Green) stole some treasure.
Following his retirement, Harryhausen decided to create longer-lasting preservation castings of some of his key models, which were at higher risk of deterioration over time. This model, unique to Harryhausen's archive, was created from a sculpture of Talos made by Harryhausen during the 1980s. The original maquette stood 17.25 inches tall and with a base of .50 inches, making this print 17.75 inches tall. I tried to copy the original as best as I could. I filled in the joints with Bondo and filler primer, then painted it. I used PETG, but it should work fine with PLA.
If you like what I make and would like to support me so that I can make more models like this, you can always buy me a coffee at www.buymeacoffee.com/LindsayReplica
I would appreciate any support you can give, no matter how large or small. Thank you very much.
