Description

This is a game I played as a kid going to Cracker Barrel with my family. It is a fun little brain teaser.

There are 2 board options: blank and one with a short summary of the rules.

There are 2 peg options: Standard pointy like a golf tee and flat which is safer younger kids.

The game is fairly simple.

  1. Start with all holes filled with pegs except for one hole left empty (commonly a corner hole)
  2. One at a time, use the pegs to jump a single peg if there is an open hole on the other side. Linear jumps over a single peg only. Not C or V shaped jumps.
  3. Remove each of the pegs that are jumped over
  4. The game ends once there are no more available moves

The goal of the game is to finish with only one peg left on the board. Many end with 4 pegs remaining, some with 3 pegs and a few folks with 2 pegs. Not many end on a blissfully empty board with a gorgeous single peg remaining.
