GardenPac Heat Pump to 32mm Bestaway Hose Adapter
Print Profile(1)

Description
GardenPac heat pumps use a threaded coupler which seems to be proprietary. The couplers sold by the manufacturer are intended for 50mm rigid PVC pipe, and are £60 a set! I got this heat pump second hand without its flange adapters, and I wanted to use it to heat my Bestaway above ground pool, which uses 32mm hoses. So I designed these interface adapters.
Note, this heat pump requires a flow rate of 6m3/hr which is possible with 32mm hoses, but not with the stock Bestaway pump - a high flow pump with a sand filter is a must for this. These can be had from Intex or Vevor on ebay and Amazon for less than £200.
You will need a 30mm o-ring to seal the flange to the hose - I harvested mine from the Bestaway filter/pump which I'm not using anymore.
For best results, print in PETG with the following settings:
0.16mm layer height - high quality pre-set
Seam position = Random
Ironing type = top surfaces, rectilinear
Top, bottom and sparse infil = concentric
Sparse infil = 100%
Its a very long print (16hr45) and uses 350g of filament. It will probably work with lower infill percentage if you add more perimeters so the hose flange ends up solid, but I didn't want to take any chances. This water flow rate would empty my pool into my garden in 2 hours if the hose broke.
