Bambu spool refill on Sunlu spool

I placed a substantial order of Bambu refills and realized I had run out of empty Bambu spools,

so I decided to repurpose my Sunlu ones…

but I couldn’t find anything pre-made that suited my needs.

Therefore, I created this very simple adapter that allows you to screw together the two halves of the Sunlu spool

and also permits its use with the AMS Lite.

To facilitate insertion, I’ve incorporated markings that correspond to those on the Sunlu spool:

1) First insert the shorter half, aligning the dot on the adapter with the notch on the Sunlu spool

The line to observe on the spool is this:

2) Rotate clockwise until you hear a click

3) INSERT THE REFILL, ALIGNING THE NOTCH ON THE ADAPTER WITH THE NOTCH ON THE CARDBOARD SECTION

4) Insert the longer half, aligning the notch on the adapter with the notch on the spool:

5) Rotate clockwise until you hear a click.

Important: ensure a final click is felt when screwing. The first time might feel slightly stiffer. It will loosen up thereafter.

I will soon release a version requiring only the longer half of the Sunlu spool, followed by a version for ESun cardboard spools.
