Description

Wall Go board game from Devils Plan

Designed the Wall Go board game from the nextlix series “Devil´s Plan”.

The model offers you a nice boxed version of the game with small boxes for the game pieces. When the lid is closed everything is kept in in place.

Printing

  • My print profile offers you optimized and tested settings for the model.
  • Print the plate with the game pieces 4 times in the colors you like
  • My print was done in PLA Basic and Matte

Game Rules

The game rules are very simple and easy to learn (if you want just watch Devil´s Plan S2E10 from Minute 43).

Setting up the game

2 Players:

  • Each player has two fixed start positions.
    • Player 1 at 2,2 and 6,6.
    • Player 2 at 2,6 and 6,2.
  • Players then take turns placing their remaining cylinders in any unoccupied spaces in this sequence:
    • Player 1 → Player 2 → Player 2 → Player 1

3 or 4 Players:

  • Players alternately place their two cylinders on any vacant spaces in the following order:
    • Player 1 → Player 2 → Player 3 → (Player 4) → (Player 4) → Player 3 → Player 2 → Player 1

Games Target:

  • Aim to enclose the most tiles on the board with walls, ensuring your cylinders are within the enclosed areas.

Gameplay:

  • On their turn, a player selects one of their cylinders to move.
  • A cylinder can move 1 or 2 steps in any cardinal direction: up, down, left, or right. The cylinder can also move forth and back to stay on the same tile.
  • A cylinder cannot occupy or move over a space already taken by an cylinder.
  • After moving, the player has to place a wall piece on one of the four sides surrounding the new location of their cylinder. You have to do this even when it will reduce your enclosed space.
  • The turn then passes to the next player.

End of Game condition:

  • The game ends when each player's cylinder is trapped inside a closed space.
  • The winner is the player who controls the most enclosed tiles.

Game Modifier:

  • You can add a “Wallbreaker” to the game. This allows you to remove a wall once in a game on the way you want to move the cylinder. The wallbreaker does not change the end of game condition. So the game ends as soon as every cylinder is enclosed, even if there are wallbreakers left by any player
