Orbit Planter

Description
Thanks for checking out my sculptures!
This was born after lots of inspiration from others and countless hours in Fusion 360 teaching myself how to design and model intricate patterns. Introducing my first (of many) multi-layered planter.
The Orbit planter doesn't have drainage holes, for a reason. It lends itself towards various types of plants where water containment is desired or for dried plants.
For Air Plants (Tillandsia): Since air plants don't require soil, these plants are perfect for the Orbit Planter.
- How it works: You can simply nestle the air plant inside the planter. You might add some decorative stones, moss, or wood at the bottom for positioning and aesthetics.
- Care: Air plants need bright, indirect light and should be soaked or misted regularly according to their specific needs.
As a Cachepot (Cover Pot): This is the most common and recommended use for decorative pots without drainage.
- How it works: Keep your plant in its original plastic nursery pot (which does have drainage holes). Simply place this nursery pot directly inside the Orbit Planter.
- Watering: When it's time to water, take the inner nursery pot out, water it thoroughly in a sink or outdoors, let all excess water drain away completely, and then place it back into the decorative cachepot.
- Benefits: This protects your furniture from water stains, allows you to use highly decorative pots without modification, and keeps your plants healthy by ensuring proper drainage.
This particular example has been printed in eSUN Blue/Green PLA.
