Hexfinity Air Pillars – Max Height; Min Weight; No Supports!

Need to go higher without burning through filament? Hexfinity Air Pillars are the lightweight, stackable solution for adding serious height to your Roll Hexfinity or Store Hexfinity builds—without weighing down your prints or your printer.

Why Use Air Pillars?

To build larger Roll Hexfinity mazes, you need altitude. Until now, you needed to stack hexfinity bricks. Each brick added three height units (1 HU = 7mm) and weighted about 9g. That's around 3g of filament per HU.

With Hexfinity Air Pillars, you can add up to 24 HUs at a time. The 24HU pillar is just 17g. That's just 0.7g per HU77% less filament

There’s almost nothing left but air—and that’s the point!

What’s Included

This release includes pillars at the following heights:

  • 1HU, 2HU, 3HU, 4HU, 5HU, 6HU, 12HU, 18HU, 24HU
  • (That’s from 7mm all the way to 168mm in clean multiples of 7mm.)

Design Features

  • 1HU Pillar: A minimal, ultra-light spacer—great for micro-adjustments when stacking. Features a Roll Hexfinity stacking-compatible bottom.
  • 2HU: Uses a stylish column pattern
  • 3HU to 5HU v1.1 Pillars: Use a new, hybrid pattern that stylistically matches the full hex-mesh pattern, but uses less filament and provides better visibility. These sizes are great for watching your ball paths pass underneath, keeping the system open and dynamic. These also feature Roll Hexfinity stacking-compatible bottoms. (You can also print full hex-mesh versions of these pillars as well.)
  • 6HU, 12HU, 18HU and 24HU Pillars: Use a hex mesh pattern for maximum strength and stability—both while printing and in real-world use. And let’s be honest: more hexagons is always a win. These use a more stable, solid bottom. They are not intended to be stacked directly on top of Roll Hexfinity pieces, but you can do it simply by adding one of the 1x to 5x pieces first.

Beyond Roll Hexfinity

These pillars aren’t just for ball mazes. Use them with Store Hexfinity to create tiered storage layouts, stagger heights, or build custom organizer configurations. They’re stackable, versatile, and designed to integrate seamlessly with the rest of the Hexfinity ecosystem.

Hexfinity Hexlock Compatible

All Air Pillars are fully compatible with the new Hexfinity Hexlock Connectors (see separate release). As you go higher, stability matters more—Hexlock lets you securely connect pillars to each other, to Plates, and to Roll Hexfinity Air Bricks, so your towering creations stay strong and aligned.
