Roll Hexfinity Air – Lightweight, Open, and Beautiful

Roll Hexfinity Air is a complete reimagining of the original Roll Hexfinity Infinite Ball system—redesigned from the ground up to be as lightweight and open-air as possible. This release reworks nearly every original Roll Hexfinity part to use less filament and offer greater visibility of your ball paths, all while remaining fully backward and forward compatible with the entire Hexfinity ecosystem.

Roll Hexfinity Air is fully compatible with all previous Hexfinity releases. Mix and match however you like!

If you’re just discovering Roll Hexfinity, this release is a perfect entry point—it includes updated versions of all the core parts you need to get started.

Why Roll Hexfinity?

Because traditional marble runs run out of steam fast. They rely on a bunch of specialized parts with limited configurations. I wanted something more like L-E-G-O: a small set of simple, reusable parts that could combine into infinite possibilities.

Roll Hexfinity is a modular system for building beautiful, endlessly configurable ball mazes using 8mm steel ball bearings (like those in the Bambu Maker's Beginner Kit). You can build flat layouts, towering tunnels, and elegant layered sculptures—all with clean stacking and interlocking.

Engineered for Lightness

Every piece was redesigned to balance strength, compatibility, and ultra-low filament use:

• Internal geometry was reduced to just the core ball paths
• Connectors were minimized while retaining full stacking functionality
• Custom “engineered supports” were added—hand-crafted, ultra-light structures that are easier to print and use far less filament than slicer-generated supports

This approach reduces average part weight by around 25%, (after support removal).

When paired with Hexfinity Air Plates and Hexfinity Air Pillars, your builds get lighter, faster, and far more scalable.

Designed for Visibility

One of the top pieces of feedback on the original system was its "density." The solid bricks hid all the inner action—especially when layering tunnels or stacking pieces.
 

Roll Hexfinity Air is designed to remove as much visual obstruction as possible while keeping everything fully functional. Now, you can clearly see your ball paths as they split, merge, and loop through the system—even underneath other bricks.
 

Want to take it further? Try printing in translucent PETG. On its own, translucent filament can only do so much, but combined with Roll Hexfinity Air’s open design, it creates absolutely stunning floating paths you can watch in motion.
 

Starter Kit

The starter-kit is a great place to start. A relatively quick print, on any printer including the A1Mini, and you can build your first roll maze. Print additional copies to expand the possibilities. Need specific pieces? Use the per-piece print profile to print them one at a time or in sets.

Tip: With Bambu Handy, you can select a plate with just one piece and then set the number of copies to print N of that one piece in one go.
